Delaware County health officials say an Ashley resident has been hospitalized with symptoms of La Crosse Encephalitis. Health officials have been passing out packets to neighbors informing them of health risks they could be facing. La Cross can cause vomiting, nausea, exhaustion and swelling of the brain.
