Democrat running for Ohio Secretary of State proposes law to monitor petition campains.

Columbus, OH – In recent years, it seems that when a citizens group collects petition signatures to put a proposal onto the statewide ballot, some of the paid petition circulators are caught giving false or misleading sales pitches. Instances of forged petition signatures also regularly arise. The democrat who wants to become the next Secretar of State is proposing a new law to more closely regulate petition campaigns. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
