An international study led by Ohio State University shows promise for people with central sleep apnea. OSU physician William Abraham co-authored the study.
Researchers tested the device on 151 patients at 31 hospitals in the U.S., Germany and Poland. Abraham says half the members of a smaller active treatment group saw a reduction of more than fifty percent in the number of central sleep apnea events. Abraham consults for the company that funded the study, which is published in The Lancet.
