Dimora Asking Judge To Dismiss His Public Corruption Conviction

cleveland.com

Former Cuyahoga County Commissioner and former county Democratic Party chair Jimmy Dimora is asking a federal judge to dismiss his public corruption conviction.  Dimora says the conviction was based on a definition of what is considered an "official act" that has been rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court. Dimora is five years into a 28-year prison term.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
