Dimora Evidence Released

cleveland.com

More than one-thousand pieces of evidence from the corruption trial of former Cuyahoga County Commissioner and former county Democratic Party Chair Jimmy Dimora have been released, more than three-and-a-half years after he was convicted. Kevin Niedermier of member station WKSU in Kent reports.

Dimora had fought the release of the evidence…much of it graphic surveillance photos and FBI wiretap recordings.  This recording between Dimora and friend Joe Vinciguerra is from a 2008 trip to Las Vegas funded by contractor Ferris Kleem who was seeking millions of dollars in county contracts.  In it, Vinciguerra asks Dimora about his rendezvous with a prostitute….

“Jimmy, I want to know how was it Jimmy, just good?”
“No, it was outstanding. It was great, message.”
“That’s what I want to hear, that’s what I want to hear out of you.

Vinciguerra was not charged in connection with the corruption probe.  Dimora is serving a 28-year sentence at a federal prison in California. Kleem and dozens of others were also convicted
