Discount carrier Frontier Airlines plans to launch direct flights in from Port Columbus to Orlando, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Denver in May and June. Frontier last offered flights from Port Columbus in 2013 and currently flies out of Cincinnati and Cleveland. The company earlier this week announced plans to offer direct flights from Cincinnati to Los Angeles and San Francisco on April 15. Frontier says 18 new planes coming into service this year will allow for the Columbus flights. The Cincinnati flights come in the wake of a new contract between Frontier and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport.
