Divers Pull Body Of One Of Two Drowning Victims From Olentangy

Authorities say they have recovered the body of a missing drowning victim from the Olentangy River as the search continues for a second victim in the same area.

Columbus police said the body was spotted by a helicopter on Wednesday afternoon.  Teams have been searching since Saturday when 18-year-old Joseph Welch and 20-year-old Anthony Martin were swimming in the river and were swept over the low head dam near Dodridge Street.  The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers lowered the water level by three feet Tuesday to facilitate the search.  Police say they recovered Martin's body on Wednesday.  Divers will continue searching for Welch's body on Thursday.
