The Mayor of the Southwest Ohio village of Elmwood Place is stepping down on Monday.
Stephanie Morgan has yet to comment about what motivated her decision. Vice mayor Robert Schmid will complete Morgan's term, which runs through 2015. Some residents called for Morgan to step down last year amid debate about the village's traffic camera program. A judge has banned the village from using the cameras to catch speeding drivers. The village has appealed that ruling and lost its bid to stop the judge from enforcing the ban.
