End of the year interview with Mayor Michael Coleman - Part 3

http://stream.publicbroadcasting.net/production/mp3/wcbe/local-wcbe-812922.mp3

Columbus, OH – Over the last several years, Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman has made the fight against gangs a major focus of his administration. But that effort took a hit in the city's budget crisis, as the mayor proposed cuts to his summer strike force and closing some recreation centers. Citizens who spoke out last month against the mayor's budgetary plan cited those centers as a positive alternative to gangs for young people. In the last of our three-part interview with the mayor, Coleman talks with Jim Letizia about gangs, the city's curfew and the city's tax abatement policy.
