State officials are reminding people that National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is tomorrow. Law enforcement officials at dozens of locations throughout Ohio will collect expired or unused medications, including controlled substances, free of charge and with no questions asked. The events will be held from 10 am to 2 pm. Ohio State Board of Pharmacy spokesperson Jesse Wimberly says the events keep dangerous drugs off the streets and help protect the environment.
Past Take-Back Day events have collected more than 3 million pounds of prescription medications. Information on where the events will be held is available on the Drug Enforcement Administration's website: justice.gov/dea
