Former Bengals Cheerleader Avoids Jail With Guilty Plea

Sarah Jones admitted in court to having sex with a 17-year-old student at the northern Kentucky school where she taught. She pleaded guilty today to sexual misconduct and custodial interference. The 27-year-old Jones had taught at Dixie Heights High School before resigning last November. Her indictment came in March. A trial in the case had been set to start Wednesday. Her mother, former school principal Cheryl Armstrong Jones, also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of tampering with evidence. She admitted to the judge that she sent the teen a text message telling him to get rid of his phone.
