Former CCS Treasurer To Be Sentenced In January For Theft

Sentencing is scheduled January 23rd for a former Columbus City Schools employee who pleaded guilty this week to stealing nearly 28 thousand dollars in district funds. 44-year-old Tina Dorsey worked as an area treasurer for the district, in charge of collecting money from athletic events and other activities at East High School as well as three middle schools and several elementary schools. Authorities began investigating after the East High School principal began receiving complaints last year. Dorsey resigned last February.

A native of Chicago, naturalized citizen of Cincinnati and resident of Columbus, Alison attended Earlham College and the Ohio State University. She has equal passion for Midwest history, hockey and Slavic poetry.
