Former School Organization Leader Pleads No Contest To Misspending Public Money

A former central Ohio school leader will serve one year of probation and pay a 700-dollar-fine for misspending taxpayer dollars. Franklin County prosecutors say 46-year-old Bart Anderson pleaded no contest Thursday to charges of dereliction of duty and obstruction of official business. Prosecutors say Anderson spent money belonging to the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio on lavish travel, high-end alcohol and other personal expenses. He resigned in 2013 after an audit found he used the agency credit card to charge 96 thousand dollars worth of unapproved travel.
