Former USPS Carrier Gets Probation For Theft

A former U.S. Postal Service Carrier will serve three years probation for credit cards and blank checks from customers. 67-year-old Arlie Ruff of Bexley was employed by the service from 1997 to 2009. He pleaded guilty last fall to stealing nearly 29 thousand dollars worth of cards and checks along his routes in Galloway and the far West side. Ruff blames his addiction to gambling.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
