Fourth Columbus Residential Fire This Year Caused By Child Playing With Flammables

Columbus fire officials say the residential fire Thursday night on the north side that critically injured a 2-year-old girl was started by another child in the home. Fire officials say the child admitted to setting some paper on fire in an upstairs bedroom of the home on Minnesota Avenue. Names have not been released. Fire officials say it is the fourth time since January that a child or children playing with flammables sparked a residential fire that caused injury or death.
