Goodell Praises Haslam

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he's satisfied with Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam's handling of the federal investigation into fraud at his family-owned business. Goodell says the league has no plans to intervene at this time. But the league could take control of the team if Haslam is indicted. Goodell yesterday called Haslam a "man of great integrity." The FBI and IRS raided the truck stop company owned by Haslam and Republican Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam in April, and several company executives have since pleaded guilty to defrauding customers out of fuel rebates.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
