GOP Appoints New Fairfield County Clerk Of Courts

The Fairfield County Republican Party's Central Committee has appointed 31-year-old Brandon Meyer as the county's new clerk of courts. Meyer replaces 61-year-old Deborah Smalley, who resigned last month under pressure from the party after she pleaded not guilty to a theft in office charge. Smalley is charged with using public employees to work on her campaign on county time. Meyer currently works for Republican Congressman Steve Stivers.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
