GOP Chief Wants Lawmaker To Resign

Ohio Republican Party Chair Bob Bennett is joining calls for indicted Democratic State Representative Clayton Luckie to resign.Luckie was indicted in October on 49 charges of theft, corruption and money laundering. Democrats have removed Luckie from all committees and he has stopped attending Ohio House floor sessions. House Minority Leader Armond Budish has also called for Luckie to resign. His spokesperson says Republicans have not shown similar concern when GOP lawmakers have faced criminal charges. Luckie's attorney says Bennett ignores the presumption of innocence and is being politically opportunistic. He says many of the charges against Luckie are being challenged.
