Columbus, OH – The soon-to-occur appointments for the Columbus City Council will mean that the seven council members, all Democrat, will have obtained their seats through vacancies. Republicans say it's unfair because it gives the appointee the advantage of running for election as an incumbant. Ohio Governor Ted Strickland yesterday announced Kevin Boyce will succeed State Treasurer Rich Cordray, who was elected Attorney General in November. Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles reports.
