Governor Ted Strickland proposes ways to stem the rising prison population

Columbus, OH – Ohio's prison population is close to an all-time high--nearly 51,000. In a few more years, it's projected to grow to 65,000. Governor Ted Strickland is proposing ways to stem the rising tide, by diverting more non-violent offenders to community based programs, and releasing some inmates early, if they improve themselves. But parts of the Governor's plan are meeting with mixed reactions. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
