Grand Jury Declines To Indict Suspects In 2016 Franklinton Shooting

A Franklin County grand jury has declined to indict two teenagers for a fatal shooting outside a fast food restaurant in Franklinton last November. The panel says 15-year-old Taysen Hixon and 18-year-old Nigel Jackson acted in self-defense when they shot 38-year-old Edwin Guerrero. Prosecutors say the victim was killed after a group of people exchanged words with him. Prosecutors say Guerrero pulled a gun on the group.
