Group Buys Hopewell Earthworks Sites

A conservancy group has successfully bid to purchase one of the last privately held Native-American Hopewell Earthworks sites in Ohio. Arc of Appalachia launched a fundraising campaign two weeks ago to save the earthworks in Chillicothe from possible development. The group bid 650 thousand dollars for the nearly 90 acres of land.
