Fairfield County Sheriff's deputies say an instructor at a gun safety class accidentally shot a student on Saturday. Police say 73-year-old Terry Dunlap Senior was demonstrating a handgun at a training facility in Carroll when he fired a bullet that ricocheted off a desk and into the right arm of 26-year-old Michael Piemonte. He was transported to a Columbus hospital. Deputies say Dunlap didn't know the gun was loaded.
