Health Care Costs For City Of Columbus Increasing

Columbus City Council last night approved spending 152.2 million dollars to provide heath care to city employees. Assistant Columbus Human Resources Director Jaquilla Bass blames the rising costs of health insurance for an increase of nearly 7 percent in municipal health care spending this year over last.

The city has negotiated with unions to raise the costs employees pay for health care coverage.
