Trial is underway in federal district court in Columbus on a lawsuit alleging links between human illnesses and DuPont discharging C8 into the Ohio River. Three other cases have been heard, with one under appeal and another settled. This case alleges 56-year-old David Freeman got testicular cancer because of contamination from the chemical used to make Teflon dumped from a DuPont plant in West Virginia. DuPont says it did not consciously disregard health risks. 35 hundred lawsuits have been filed.
