Historical Society Leases New Office Building

The Columbus Historical Society has signed a one dollar, two-year lease on a new home office building. The nonprofit group signed the lease with Mount Carmel Health Systems to move from the COSI building into a vacant former office building on West Town Street. The move that is expected to take place on June 1, and is part of the society's plan for its future. An exhibit space is expected to open by the end of August. The society has asked the city for 45 thousand dollars to help renovate the building's interior.
