Holiday Sales Projected To Rise 4.2 Percent In Ohio

The official start of the holiday shopping season is a few days away, but it's shaping up to be a good one for Ohio retailers.  University of Cincinnati researchers say holiday retail sales will rise by 4.2 percent to nearly 16-billion-dollars.  Sales in central Ohio are expected to exceed the national average at more than four-and-a-half-percent. Researchers say lower gasoline prices and an improving employment picture are reasons for the projected increase.
