Home Heating Companies Recommend Lowering Thermostats

Furnace repair companies in central Ohio say the number of service calls skyrocketed yesterday when temperatures plummeted and furnaces stopped working. The companies are asking people to turn thermostats down to take the stress off the heating units, bake food to raise kitchen temperatures and close registers in unused rooms.
