Homeless Shelter To Close

Toledo's emergency homeless shelter is out of money. 

Saint Paul's Community Center director Marcia Langenderfer says the shelter will close Sunday. She says funding has been cut by cash-strapped social service agencies this year. Langenderfer says shelter officials hoped to raise more money through donations, but contributions never materialized. More than 900 people stayed overnight at the 50-bed shelter in January, far outpacing demands of previous winters. February's numbers also appear to be higher than normal.
