Husted Seeks Dismissal Of Suit Filed By County Elections Officials

Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted is asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by two Democratic Montgomery County Board of Elections officials who claim he unjustly fired them in August.Husted says Dennis Liberman and Thomas Ritchie violated his order setting uniform early voting hours. The two say Husted wrongfully terminated them after they voted to allow early voting on weekends. They are seeking reinstatement, arguing the county needs their roughly 28 years of combined experience to ensure a smooth election.
