Husted Wants Voter Registrations Collected By Pro-Marijuana Group Scrutinized

State of Ohio

Voter registrations collected by a marijuana legalization campaign are to be closely scrutinized for potential fraud under orders of Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted. He wants county boards of election to analyze registrations submitted by The Strategy Network, the organization coordinating a signature drive for ResponsibleOhio.  Husted's cites reports from some boards submissions contain higher error rates and apparent fraudulent registration attempts. He cites non-existent addresses, illegible signatures, duplicate applications from the same address and some underage registrants.   ResponsibleOhio says Husted's office was consulted during the process and indicated no problems with the procedures.
