Indians' Byrd Suspended For PED Use

Cleveland Indians

Cleveland Indians outfielder Marlon Byrd has been suspended 162 games for testing positive a second time for a performance-enhancing drug. MLB officials say Byrd tested positive for a growth hormone releasing peptide. His attorney says Byrd's test resulted from a tainted supplement. The 38-year-old Byrd was suspended for 50 games in 2012. He signed with Cleveland as a free agent in March.
