Insurer Posts Third Quarter Profit

Columbus-based State Auto Financial reports a third-quarter profit of 18.5 million dollars, compared with a loss of 5.5 million in the same period a year ago. The company credits higher premiums and fewer claims filed over the summer. Revenue rose by 6 million to nearly 293 million dollars.
