Insurers Report Millions In Claims From April Storms

A group representing Ohio insurance companies estimates property damage in Franklin and three other counties from storms in early April was between 53 and 58 million dollars. The Ohio Insurance Institute says several claims were filed after two days worth of storms brought high winds, rain and snow in Franklin, Darke, Montgomery and Hamilton Counties. Nearly 67 thousand people in those counties lost power during the storms. More than 93 hundred business and residential claims were filed.
