Internet Cafes Hurting Tax Revenue?

Some state officials think Internet cafes may be one reason why casinos are not generating as much tax-revenue as predicted.

Gross casino-tax revenue is likely to be 900 million dollars short of projections over two years. That means less money for cities, counties and schools. A lobbyist who represents a company that provides phone cards and computer software for the cafes says the operators are being used a scapegoat for the lack of revenue. Ohio's attorney general wants state lawmakers to crack down on Internet cafes.
