Investigative Reports Detail Ex-Sheriff's Drug Theft Activities

sandusky-county.com

Investigative reports say former Sandusky County Sheriff Kyle Overmyer, who admitted stealing prescription drugs, had been abusing Vicodin he obtained from multiple doctors for more than four years. Overmyer was sentenced to four years in prison last December. The records released by the Ohio Attorney General's Office show Overmyer stole pill boxes containing discarded medications from law enforcement agencies in the county. He told an investigator he picked the drug disposal boxes to improve relations with area departments. Overmyer had said the charges were politically-motivated.
