The Columbus Blue Jackets open training camp today and the front office has begun publicly posturing in contract talks with restricted free agent center Ryan Johansen. Jackets director of operations John Davidson told reporters yesterday the team has made three different contract offers to Johansen, but he has rejected them.
Johansen's agent, Kurt Overhardt, declined to respond yesterday during an interview on a Canadian radio station. Overhart says his client left Columbus yesterday. The 22-year-old led the team last season with 33 goals and 30 assists.
