JC Penny To Close Some Ohio Stores

J.C. Penney is planning to close an underperforming store at Eastland Mall in Columbus in May. The retailer will also close two underperforming stores in Springfield and Greenville in April. The company says more than 220 employees will be affected, but will be offered jobs at other stores. This week the company said preliminary figures show fourth-quarter sales rose by 3.7 percent from the same period a year ago.
