A Logan County Judge has denied a request for early release from prison from a woman convicted of allowing her mother to die in squalor and neglect. 77-year-old Mary Strawser was convicted earlier this year and sentenced to 18 months in prison in the death of 100-year-old Blanche Cowen in 2014. Prosecutors say Strawser cashed her mother's Social Security checks.
