Judge Permits Use Of Electronic Raffle Devices
A Franklin County judge is allowing veterans and fraternal posts to continue operating electronic raffle machines while their lawsuit against Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine proceeds.
DeWine ordered the machines shut down in October, saying they are illegal. The judge says DeWine, the Ohio Liquor Control Commission and any cooperating agency may not take enforcement action against the machines. The groups say the machines are legal and the proceeds often go to charity.
