Judge Rejects Challenge Of Cincinnati Parking Lease Plan

A Hamilton County judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by opponents of the city of Cincinnati's plan to lease its parking operations. The judge says the lease of parking lots and meters to the Port of Greater Cincinnati was legally negotiated and approved. Opponents claim the lease would mean higher parking rates for businesses, visitors and workers as the city gives up a valuable asset. The ruling means the deal likely will close by the end of the year.
