Judge Releases Racist Audio Recordings Of Former Pilot Flying J Executives

wbir.com

The judge who presided over the fraud trial of several executives of the Pilot Flying J truck stop chain owned by Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has ordered the release of secret recordings filled with racist and misogynistic comments.

The recordings of former Pilot vice president John Freeman and former president Mark Hazelwood used at trial include comments about Cuayhoga County and fans of the Browns and Oakland Raiders.  Here is a sample of the recordings released Thursday.

Hazelwood and Freeman are among the executives convicted of shortchanging trucking companies of promised fuel rebates.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
