July Storms Cause Millions In Insured Damages

The Ohio Insurance Institute says the severe storms in July resulted in insured losses of at least 71 million dollars. The industry group says a survey of 26 insurance companies shows they received more than 16 thousand claims. 70 percent involved damage to homes. Some areas of the state saw up to eight inches of rain and tornados in the two-week period before July 10.
