Jury Rules In Favor Of Former Ben-Gals Cheerleader

A federal jury has ruled in favor of a former teacher and former Cincinnati Ben-gals cheerleader in her defamation lawsuit against a gossip website. Sarah Jones will get 338 thousand dollars in damages. The jury found statements posted by the website in 2009 were substantially false. They also found website operator Nik Richie acted with malice or reckless disregard. The posts alleged Jones had sex with every Bengals player and she probably had two sexually transmitted diseases. The posts were unrelated to Jones' 2012 guilty plea to charges of having sex with an underage former student.
