Kasich Says State Could Be On The Brink Of Recession

State of Ohio

Ohio Governor John Kasich is among the many Republicans who say cutting taxes helps the economy. But Kasich says due to declining tax revenues, the state could be on the brink of a recession. November revenue came in at 99 million dollars, 5 percent below estimates. That follows an October that saw tax revenues come in 88 million dollars below estimates. Kasich made his comments Tuesday during a visit to the Ohio House. The Governor and his fellow Republicans who control the General Assembly have approved multiple tax cuts during Kasich's tenure.
