Lawmakers Approve Delaying 2016 Presidential Primary

State Lawmakers have approved a measure moving Ohio's 2016 presidential primary back a week to March 15.  Majority Republicans say the change follows RNC rules designed to discourage states from holding primaries too early to boost their influence in the nominating process.  Minority Democratcs say voters will be confused and potentially discouraged, and say a primary on May 3 or later would allow both parties to maximize their delegates. Ohio Governor John Kasich, who is considering a White House bid, is expected to sign the measure into law.
