Lawsuit Over Jesus Portrait On School Board Agenda

The Jackson City School Board plans to decide tonight how to respond to a federal lawsuit seeking removal of a portrait of Jesus from its middle school.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio and the Freedom From Religion Foundation say the portrait unconstitutionally promotes religion. District officials say the portrait was donated by a student group and has been on display in the building since 1947.
