Lenders Repossessed More Central Ohio Homes In May

The mortgage listing service RealtyTrac says central Ohio home repossesssions nearly doubled in May as compared with April. Banks and government agencies repossessed 801 home in May, the sixth straight monthly increase. The firm blames legal delays and failed efforts to reach payment agreement with borrowers. Nationally, repossessions rose for the third straight month, but are below their peak number from 2013.
