Licking County Prosecutors Drop Charges Against Alleged Rapist

Licking County prosecutors have dropped rape, robbery and other charges against a jailed Newark man after new evidence surfaced supporting his claim of innocence. 26-year-old Adam Alexander has been released from jail. An Ohio Highway Patrol  analyst recovered previously deleted text messages supporting his story that he and the woman had consensual sex. The woman told police Alexander broke into her home and raped her. Prosecutors have yet to decide whether to charge the woman.
