The man convicted of setting a Columbus Buddhist temple on fire last year has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison on arson charges.
20-year-old Ronnie Carroll II pleaded guilty to charges of setting the fire that destroyed the KTC Buddhist Center on Grubb Street. No word on a motive. Temple officials say they plan to break ground this spring on a new facility with larger workspace in Franklinton. Carroll was also sentenced for setting two car fires on the Hilltop that damaged two garages.
